Maria Isabel Concepcion is an American born artist/painter raised in New York City, Manhattan. Her mother and father are from the Dominican Republic. She has been painting since her early teen years, until now. In addition to working as a beauty advisor/ sales specialist in luxury beauty over the years. Maria Isabel Concepcion has developed a deep appreciation for high-end fashion, in addition to contemporary arts. Maria Isabel is known for her shimmery, crystallized and captivating pieces, her works are full of magic and emotions, creating visually stunning, fascinating pieces that invite viewers to explore the depths of their own imagination.
Statement:
My amazing teenage son is my drive, inspiration and motivation to keep painting, succeed and achieve all my dreams and goals. He looks up to me and we both work really well together to uplift each other Im so proud of him. In addition, I love my day-to-day job, which is working for a luxury cosmetic powerhouse as a simple beauty advisor. However, the moment I clock out and go home all I want to do is paint and create. My paintings are a representation of how I feel inside! I incorporate Magical realism with mystery and enchantment.
Art to me is my life, my passion and my inspiration, which fills my life with purpose. The truth is, I create art for my soul. When I’m painting, you experience this vulnerability inside me that’s full of emotions, feelings and magic.
I paint what I’m feeling at that particular moment.
I create art because it’s my escape from reality.
Why is making art so important to me right now? When our world is changing so fast and rapidly, I love painting and creating art especially now. I value the art of creativity now more than ever before. Creating art is the most valuable and important thing to me right now on this earth. It’s magical to me, that I get to paint my own worlds as I wish all using my imagination. I just create what I love, that’s the point. Art is really all life is, it’s easy to forget how important art is. With so much digital art and so much technology. Art is at a stage where it’s becoming devalued. I love the act of pulling out ideas from my mind and putting it on the canvas, it is extremely intense, and practically genius. Art is self-expression, and each of my pieces are unique, meaningful & magical.

There’s no way to explain my captivating and beautiful masterpieces. All I know is when I’m finally finished with my magical painting, I’m transported into this enchanted world that I created. If one person could feel that same feeling and energy that I do just by observing my work of art, then I know I did a Awesome job. To get an emotion and experience a sense of magic that you can also be transported into.
The secret to my wonderful creations is art that brings a magical emotion. Being an artist is not my choice, It’s my calling!! All of my crystalized/embellished art paintings are magical to me when I’m finally finished painting them. There’s this wonderful feeling I get that’s absolutely amazing & fulfilling. If I could touch just one person with my art and make them happy, that would fill my heart with joy, purpose & happiness. I create magic, one brush stroke at a time!
